Story Version 1.0

Ever played that game where you pass a piece of paper around in a circle and everybody adds an extra sentence to the story?.
[info]story_version_1 is like that game, but better.

This is going to be really cool. [info]story_version_1 is [info]splatchtrock's brainchild, and I've engaged Project Mode to help him make it a reality, but we need YOU to make it fabulous. So check it out! Join! Tell your friends! If you've been thinking about NaNoWriMo but decided it was too much to commit yourself to, this is perfect for you (or even if you are doing NaNoWriMo, you can play with us at the same time). You don't even have to become a member of the community to participate.

You know you want to :)

I'd consider it, but well... NaNo takes priority. I'm already going to be writing like 4 pages a day, which is a pain in the ass. Plus the stuff I have to do for my RPs.

I have too much writing to do

Okay... is this the group thing you mentioned before... I was interested... but how the heck does it work?

Yes, this is the thing I mentioned before, although it doesn't exactly work like a NaNoWriMo novel. It will produce lots of stories and it's entirely unplanned and spur of the moment. Basically, if you go along to this post you'll find that each comment thread advances the story we started in the original post in different ways. You pick a thread you like the feel of, and add your own next paragraph to the story. And then wait and see what someone else adds to your idea. Eventually we're going to have lots of weird and wonderful stories that all began at the same point, but then spiralled off in totally different crazy directions.

You know, it would be really interesting to check at the end of November just how many words have been written- whether it makes it to NaNo status!

Really depends on how you count it. If we weer to publish it as a book or something, then it may be long enough for NaNo, but a lot of the words will be re[eated, the first paragraph will appear in every incarnation of the story. In terms of original words written, it might get there, but only if people contribute!
