Wow. This must be what going mad being cheerful feels like. I like it :) I seem to be on a bit of a bungee cord mood-wise, but this particular bit feels good! Today I woke up feeling slightly healthier, went shopping and found new underwear (black, which I needed, and LIME GREEN! which is fun *grin*) and not one but THREE skirts. Skirts that look good! One white, one black with embroidered flowers and one PURPLE and SHINY. OMG! It's amazing. All from the same shop, too, all in the size I picked off the rack. They were expensive (having a mother who understands my difficulty in finding good clothes, expensive or otherwise, and has a credit card is v. helpful *blush*), but as they are most likely all I will buy clothes-wise for the rest of summer (with the exception of some fabric to make an assortment of new tops as you just can't buy things with sleeves in an Australian summer) it shouldn't be too bad. Meep.
Anyway, it's very encouraging to go shopping and find clothes that fit well. Now I just need some new shoes to go with them... ;)
Mother randomly bought me Angel season 1 on DVD yesterday. Apparently it was on sale! She may nag me about everything under the sun and tell me I'm lazy and get shouty at the drop of a hat, but she buys very cool random gifts. The whole season in one box of six discs, not just a half-season set. That is great, because my Whedonverse shelf is running out of space (I have all seven seasons of Buffy, most of them the huge three-boxes-boxed sets, season one and season 5 part 2 of Angel (the start and the end! Hee.), Firefly and the original BtVS movie (I know it's not Buffy and it's barely Joss, but I love it :P) all in a row above the TV. With Serenity, the rest of Angel and whatever comes next *crosses fingers!* I will need a new shelf!!). But, yay, Angel. With Doyle and stillfunny!Cordy :)
In other news, I...had other news, but now I forget what it was. Drat. Oh well. I went to the zoo yesterday and it was much fun despite a few rough patches - many animals, some rain and a mini-picnic on the grass (before the rain!) that included Pink swigged straight from the bottle (*is trés classy!*) and jelly dinosaurs :) The back of my neck is slightly burnt (as is my face, I suspect) but it's not too horrible, and while I was sore and headachey and completely exhausted! by the end of the afternoon, it was worth it. Lovelovelove :)
Oh, I remember what I was going to say! I think I've decided to return my hair to its natural colour. Or as near to it as I can get with bleach and dye matched against my regrowth *s* I like having black hair, but I am feeling...summery, all of a sudden, and it would be nice to, you know, have hair that shines (a colour other than blue) in the sun again :) And then I can grow it out and have real hair* again. Eek.
Any thoughts?
*or (more likely) get bored after a couple of months and go orange or something ;)
